Today inside the hospitals it is difficult to see faces behind medical personal protective equipment, many patients, especially the elderly and kids, find it a frightening experience. Protective suits for medical workers and patients, is a barrier. They can’t express and do not feel comfortable during this stressful time. While they put their heart & soul to work, the expression of smile is missing big time.
Project smile is an initiative where high quality smiling pictures of corona warriors are printed and stuck on the protective suits so that the patient and others can recognize the person easily. This simple action helps to comfort both the patents and the frontline warriors This initiative is a collaboration with VYSMO, Redington India Limited and a network of HP Indigo Digital printers across India.

Patients need someone who can bring a smile back on their face. Without knowing who is behind the mask, how can one see a smile. Treating a patient with a smile gives strength and hope. Now with Project Smile that is possible even if we are behind a colourless suit. With the cheerful faces on top of PPE kits, some colour is getting back in our lives. Thanks to our Apollo team and HP for bringing Project Smile to fruition. We must, we can, and we will win this war. And win we will, with a smile!
In today’s difficult times, when patients are unable to even see who is providing care, Project Smile brought in a solution. This has actually given identity (while they are completely covered with PPE) back to our doctors and nurses who are our real corona warriors. This has also resulted in improving communication streams among the healthcare workers. We are glad that we got ourselves associated with Project Smile in such a big way and thanks to HP for bringing up such an innovative initiative.
